BELGRADE -- Serbia's ambassadors to the EU countries that recognized Kosovo should go back, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić says.

The previous government recalled its highest diplomatic representatives from those countries that recognized Kosovo Albanians' unilateral declaration of independence, saying that both the proclamation and recognitions were illegal.

Today Jeremić said he will put up the proposal to reverse these decisions at the next cabinet session in Belgrade, but that this will only apply to the European Union countries.

He also told journalist in a news conference at the seat of the government today that he will propose a revision of the state action plan for Kosovo, where it concerns his ministry.

At the same time the foreign minister said European integration is the new government's key priority.

The international presence in Kosovo will be discussed next week in Belgrade with UN representatives, he also revealed.

"The Ahtisaari plan does not exist and no mission in Kosovo can implement that plan which Serbia has rejected, nor can it be the basis for the EU mission's presence," said Jeremić.

"Tomorrow morning I will invite UNMIK chief Lamberto Zannier to negotiate," the minister said, and added UN Secretary-General Ban Ki.moon had authorized the Italian diplomat to conduct these talks.
