Senior SPS official Milutin Mrkonjic says that what is most important for his party is the new government’s manifesto. Mrkonjic said that under the manifesto 800,000 new jobs would be created, and pensions would be increased by at least 10 percent on their current levels. SPS: Manifesto matters more than ministries He said that only those who were willing to accept the Socialist Party of Serbia’s (SPS) manifesto could be coalition partners in a new government. He added that his party had only talked with the Serb Radical Party (SRS) and the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) thus far, and that negotiations with those parties would continue. Even though the Democratic Party (DS) claims that informal talks with the SPS have been held, Mrkonjic said that no-one from the SPS leadership had held any talks with the DS, though he did not know if “Jovan Krkobabic from the Associated Pensioners Party (PUPS) or United Serbia (JS) leader Dragan Markovic have spoken with them.” "So far our coalition has only held talks with the Democratic Party of Serbia-New Serbia (DSS-NS) and the SRS. Neither I, nor [SPS leader Ivica] Dacic or [Zarko] Obradovic have held talks with any other parties. I don’t know if Krkobabic or Markovic have had unofficial talks. We are only interested in negotiations with the parties we’ve already talked to, and so far we’ve got through quite a lot,” he said. Despite media reports that he would be minister for infrastructure in the new government, Mrkonjic said that he would not be minister because he had fulfilled his ambitions a long time ago. "Who told you that I’d be a minister? You can rest assured that I will not be minister," the SPS official underlined. He said that he had never heard DSS representatives say that the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) should be annulled, adding that he was pro-EU, but, as he pointed out, against one-way cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. "The Hague, the Dutch, they killed [Slobodan] Milosevic , and they should at least have the decency and morals to admit that their doctors killed him,” Mrkonjic said. He added that the SPS was very united, and that he would not mind if a Belgrade local government was formed with the DSS and the SRS, while a national government was formed with the DS.
