An incident occurred Friday in the Serb enclave of Gorazdevac during a visit by UNMIK chief Joachim Ruecker. KFOR Commander Lt. Gen. Xavier Bout the Marnhac was also present when, according to some eyewitnesses, quoted by Tanjug, local Serbs clashed with Ruecker's and De Marnhac's security and the two officials had to be evacuated by helicopter together with reporters accompanying them. Eyewitnesses said that the incident started with a fight between a local Serb and a French KFOR member, and then grew into a free-for-all, leaving some injured. About 50 local residents and KFOR troops were involved in the fight which prevented Ruecker and De Marnhac from addressing the people, reports say. (Beta)
