Contrary to Belgrade's repeated claims that the south of the country is stable, a Valley Albanian party believes the opposite. The presidency of the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) assessed today that the security in the region close to the administrative line with Kosovo is "unstable". "The worsening stability trends in the region are contributing to the concentration of Serbian security forces, ahead of the solving of the Kosovo status, considering that Kosovo events directly reflect on Presevo and Bujanovac," the party says. The statement then proceeds to demand that "increased numbers" of Serbian forces withdraw, and calls on citizens "not to fall victim to provocation from these forces, and not to move out of their houses".
