The main topic was how the decision for the final status solution of Kosovo could affect the political atmosphere in Serbia.

Blic states that there were discussions on whether the status solution and solutions for technical questions in the region should be given simultaneously or not.

However, the Contact Group did not back down from its majority stance that the solution should be one that does not give Serbia territorial integrity or sovereignty over the Kosovo region.

“The Contact Group remained firm on its stance that Kosovo should receive some form of independence, modalities were discussed, and the stance of Russia was taken into consideration.” Blic’s source stated.

The final proposal for the decentralization of Kosovo Serb communities was also discussed, and most Contact Group officials maintained the stance that at least five municipalities should be created for the Serbs in Kosovo.
