Minister: Stop violence against Serbs The minister urged the international community to create safe conditions for the Serbian population in Kosovo. "Repeatedly interrupting the cell signal of the Serbian mobile carriers shows that Pristina is not giving up on unilateral moves and violence”, said Bogdanovic. Bogdanovic said, commenting on the incapacitation of Telekom Srbija (Telecom Serbia) base stations and other Serbian mobile carriers in Kosovo, that such moves "create an atmosphere of fear and isolation among Serbs at the very moment we expect negotiations to begin, on all existing problems including the issue of telecommunications." In a written statement issued to the media, he said that any constructive suggestion from Belgrade was met with provocations and unilateral moves from Kosovo's provisional institutions, a sure signal Pristina did not care for genuine dialogue and compromise. “When one of the sides in the upcoming dialogue creates tension, the atmosphere of conflict and makes one-sided violent moves, it must bear responsibility for the consequences of such acts", Bogdanovic said, urging the international community to act preemptively as soon as possible in order to “prevent irresponsible behavior and further unilateral moves by Pristina”. Director of the Post Office of Serbia in Kosovo Randjel Nojkic said that this morning's actions by the Kosovo telecommunications company left Serbs in central and eastern Kosovo and Brezovica without mobile network, while most Serbs in central Kosovo lost their landline service as well.
