Montenegro establishes new Parliament
On the basis of the results of the parliamentary elections held on September 10th the coalition of the Democratic Party of Socialists and the Social Democratic Party will have 41 seats and an absolute majority.The strongest opposition party will be the Serbian coalition with 12 seats and the Movement for Changes, as well as the tripartite coalition consisting of the Socialist People's Party, the People’s Party and the Democratic Serbian Party with 11 seats each.
The coalition of the Liberal and Bosniak Parties has won 3 mandates. The Democratic Union of Albanians, the Albanian Alternative and the Democratic Union in Montenegro will have one seat each.
The new Parliament, which is the first of the independent Montenegro, will adopt the country’s new constitution.
