The police have received a report of an incident in Obrenovac when a group of migrants attacked a woman in the street, while she was walking her young children.

Migrants accused of attacking woman out walking with 3 kids

The MUP said that an investigation is currently under way, and that the police are working to shed light on all the facts.

The complaint received by the police states that several migrants assaulted the woman while she was out walking with her three children - one of them a baby - in Nemanjina St. in Obrenovac.

Media reports today are citing the woman's brother as saying that the migrants "tried to snatch the pram with the baby from her" and that a passer-by helped his sister fend off the attackers.

Obrenovac Mayor Miroslav Cuckovic told Tanjug that he asked the authorities to investigate all the circumstances of the incident, which he described as "a serious crime," adding that more police have been deployed at the local reception center for migrants.
