Tanjug reported on Thursday morning that the Serbian police have confirmed the news.

The device, described in the report as "a bomb," was found last night off the upper tip of the island. Police officers were on Thursday securing the site awaiting the arrival of a bomb disposal squad, the agency said.

The Interior Ministry (MUP) announced later in the day that a diver had found an object, located at the depth of 11 meters, that "looked like a missile," and added that there was no danger for the surroundings, while the Emergency Sector teams were assessing the situation in order to remove and safely destroy the device.
