"One of biggest" drug dealers arrested

"One of the biggest drug dealers in Serbia and an international smuggler of narcotics" has been arrested this morning, the Belgrade media are reporting.

"One of biggest" drug dealers arrested

The reports said he was involved in smuggling drugs "to Western Europe."

The Interior Ministry (MUP) announced on Monday they had arrested Belgrade resident K.R., born in 1964, on suspicion that he organized a group involved in international drug smuggling.

A MUP statement added that a total of over seven kilograms of drugs had been seized - about 4.2 kilograms of cocaine, and 3.1 kilograms of heroin - and that the suspect's "associates" are currently on the run.
