Paris attacks suspect registered as refugee in Presevo

Presevo is a town in southern Serbia through which refugees and migrants from the Middle East and Africa pass along the so-called Balkans route, on their way to western Europe.

The MUP made the statement after media in Belgrade reported that Ahmad Alomhammad's passport was found by investigators in Paris near the body of one of the attackers.

The Serbian police said it was determined that his data match the data of the person registered in Greece on October 3, and that he was previously not wanted by Interpol.

The MUP said it would continue to cooperate with the French security services.

French intelligence services in the meantime announced that the suspected terrorist who was registered in Presevo was carrying a fake Syrian passport.

According to Sputnik, the passport was most likely made in Turkey.

A series of terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday evening killed at least 129 and injured 352.
