War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic has said there has been progress in the investigation into the murder of the Bytyqi brothers.

"I can only say that Prime Minister (Alexander) Vucic mobilized all competent ministers, organizations and individuals who can assist the Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes and the Interior Ministry to solve this dramatic crime," Vukcevic told the newspaper Danas on Monday, Beta reported.

The prosecutor said that the murder of the Bytyqi brothers was a state crime, and that today the state is determined to solve it, and that he believes that light will be shed on the case.

Asked about "the cooperation with the prosecution of a (future) special court for for KLA war crimes in Kosovo" - Vukcevic said he had "good cooperation with the team of David Schwendiman, who should be chief prosecutor."

"Schwendiman is a professional whom I have known since he was among the first international prosecutors in Bosnia-Herzegovina," he told the paper.
