Woman murders her mother and grandmother

A 39-year-old Belgrade woman on Monday morning used a meat cleaver to murder her 60-year-old mother and 90-year-old grandmother, the local media are reporting.

Woman murders her mother and grandmother

The incident happened in an apartment in Milesevska St in Belgrade's central Vracar municipality.

B92 learned from the neighbors that six people lived in the small apartment and that although the suspected killer "previously had drug addiction problems, she never created any serious problems."

The suspect's children - a baby and a 3-year-old boy - are now both in the care of social services, the newspaper reported. The baby was in the apartment when the murders took place.

The case was reported to the police by the suspect's husband. The woman was taken to the military clinic VMA. The MUP has confirmed that "two lifeless bodies were found in an apartment in Milesevska St."

The police are investigating the scene and working to discover all the circumstances surrounding the murders, it has been announced.
