Hague has "no comment" on compensation claim

"We are still unable to comment, we are waiting for the final decision," Tanjug was told at the ICTY.

In a request filed with the ICTY on June 10, Šešelj said that he voluntarily surrendered himself to the Tribunal on February 24, 2003, and that he has since been detained in Scheveningen.

Citing the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, Protocol 7 of that Convention and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, he said that it would be "utterly unbelievable that international standards do not apply to, or are not applied by, the ICTY."
