The police on Tuesday arrested the chairman of the Commission with the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency and two members of the commission.

Arrests at Belgrade Land Development Public Agency
Chairman of the Commission with the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency Milutin Đajić, 69, and members of the Commission Natašsa Kostić, 45, and Čedo Vidačić, 64, are suspected of abuse of office.According to the Interior Ministry (MUP), they are suspected of rejecting the best offer, submitted by the Belgrade-based joint-stock company Energoprojekat Niskogradnja,in order to secure profit for companies Hidrotehnika-Hidroenergetika (joint-stock company) and Ferbild (limited liability company).
When opening the bids for conducting works on the collector and interceptor system in the Visnjica tunnel, they allegedly declared the bid by Energoprojekat-Niskogradnja formally invalid, although it was submitted in line with the requirements for tender documents.
At the same time, the bids by Hidrotehnika-Hidroenergetika and Ferbild were declared valid, although they were invalid under the Public Procurement Law, bylaws and internal rules.
In that way, they allowed for the companies to obtain a profit of over RSD 1 billion, while at the same time causing the loss to the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency.
Hidrotehnika-Hidroenergetika Director Dragisa Vuckovic, 62, and Ferbild Director Radula Đoković, 56, have also been arrested on suspicion that they committed the crime of abuse of office by a responsible person.
The Belgrade-based High Public Prosecution ordered detention for all the arrestees.
