An unidentified individual fired several shots in Kosovska Mitrovica late on Sunday at a car owned by the wife of former Gračanica mayor Bojan Stojanović.

Nobody was injured in the incident, although one Citroen vehicle without license plates suffered substantial damage.Stojanović told Tanjug that at the time of the attack, "himself and his wife, their child and a driver were in the vehicle."
Stojanović said that they were headed for a private visit and that luckily, there were no casualties and only material damage was caused.
He said that the identity of those who inspired the crime "was clear" and that the shooting was "inspired by political clans."
”I have been warning for months and years on end against one and the same group which has been continuously causing tension,” Stojanović said.
“Either this will stop or Kosovo would be a haven for bandits, and here I am not referring to Mitrovica only, but the entire Kosovo,” the former Gračanica mayor said.
In another incident, a passenger car was set on fire in Kosovska Mitrovica during the night. The vehicle was given by Priština's Administrative Office to the new municipal leadership.
The Serbian Office of Kosovo condemned the attack and demanded that those who last night fired an automatic weapon at the vehicle of Stojanović's wife be immediately found.
"If the attack was politically motivated and if Stojanović, as he claims, can indicate who the instigators are, we request that he does so, and that the authorities immediately find the culprits and bring them to justice," said a statement.
Otherwise, the office said, "this will be another confirmation that Kosovo and Metohija is not safe and secure life, that there is no law and justice, and that violence and pressure have become a daily, unpunished occurrence."
