PRISTINA A Pristina daily is reporting that the team of special prosecutor Clint Williamson has finished its investigation into the human organ trafficking allegations. Indictments are expected to be raised against "more notable commanders" of the now disbanded so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), said the article, quoted by Serbia's public broadcaster RTS. Pristina daily: Human organ trafficking probe over The Albanian language newspaper Express writes that Williamson "has already written his report that contains enough evidence to raise indictments." The special team of investigators, reportedly dubbed "Team Marty" after Council of Europe rapporteur in the case Dick Marty, allegedly found evidence that "one of the members of the general staff of the former KLA" was among those responsible. The case concerns allegations that armed ethnic Albanias in 1999 and 2000 kidnapped Serb and other civilians in Kosovo, illegally imprisoned them in northern Albania, and had their organs extracted to be sold in international black market. The daily also reported that the team "did not manage to find the locations where the bodies of the kidnapped Serbs were buried," and that "some local KLA commanders" could also be charged. According this, the team did not look only into the human organ trafficking, "but also into the wider ties of the KLA bosses with organized crime." RTS is reporting that so far no names have been mentioned, but that the New Yorker last May published an article naming Sabit Geci as "the main organizer of a series of criminal activities." Geci is a former KLA commander, later "the big boss of the Pristina mafia," sentenced in 2011 to 15 years in jail on charges of war crimes committed against civilians in two camps in northern Albania. Geci was indicted in that case several weeks after Marty published his report, which "shook to its foundations the Kosovo political scene." Geci was one of the founders of the KLA and associate of now Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci. He is referred to as "Big Boss," and is believed to be a mafia chief. Previously, in 2001, Geci was sentenced to five years in prison on charges of extortion. RTS
