He is a suspect in the Agrobaka corruption case.

The Office for Organized Crime raised the third indictment regarding the financial abuses that occurred in the bank's loan approval process.

The loans were granted to a number of private companies based in Belgrade, Vučje, Guča, and Subotica.

Jozef Kasa was Agrobanka's branch manager in Subotica.

The Novi Sad daily Dnevnik writes that the indictment covers the allegations that "some loans" had been approved to several companies owned by Peđa Mališanović - namely, Azohem, Mala Bosna, and Azotara Subotica.

Kasa, Mališanović, and Zoran Malešević were placed in custody last November, but were in February released pending trial.

Kasa previously served as mayor of Subotica and as Serbian deputy prime minister.

In July, he was appointed editor-in-chief of a local newspaper in Subotica, Subotičke Novine.
