The Special Court in Belgrade has remanded ten suspects in the Azotara Pančevo artificial fertilizer plant case in custody up to 30 days.

BELGRADE The Special Court in Belgrade has remanded ten suspects in the Azotara Pancevo artificial fertilizer plant case in custody up to 30 days. Two suspects have been released pending trial. Ten suspects in Azotara case remanded in custody “The prosecution has ordered an expanded investigation against all suspects on suspicion of abuses during the sale of mineral fertilizers and incurring damages worth more than RSD 400mn to the company and RSD 70mn to the state budget,” Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic has said. This is a continuation of an investigation into abuses in the fertilizer plant that started on November 24. Former Agriculture Minister Sasa Dragin, CES Mecon owner Zvonimir Nikezic and another seven suspects were then arrested for abuses and malverzations with the sale of the mineral fertilizers.
