Bomb thrown at police station in northern Kosovo
An unknown perpetrator threw an explosive device at a Kosovo police station in the northern town of Leposavić on Tuesday evening.

LEPOSAVIC An unknown perpetrator threw an explosive device at a Kosovo police station in the northern town of Leposavic on Tuesday evening. The bomb exploded in front of the front gate and nobody was injured in the incident. Bomb thrown at police station in northern Kosovo The explosive device was thrown out of a moving car around 20:30 CET. Fortunately, there were no passersby in front of the station at the time. The police secured the area and searched it for evidence. “This is just another form of intimidation and causing unrest among the population in northern Kosovo and Metohija,” Leposavic Mayor Dragisa Vasic told reporters after the incident. He called on EULEX and international forces to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. “This is the only way to put an end to bomb attacks that are getting more frequent in this part of Kosovo and Metohija,” Vasic stressed. This is another in a series of bomb attacks in northern Kosovo. None of the perpetrators have so far been found. Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo has condemned the attack on the police station and requested that the perpetrators be arrested and punished. (Tanjug, file) Beta
