Police arrest two after shootout in downtown Belgrade

Two persons were arrested after a shootout with police around 21:00 CET on Friday in downtown Belgrade. Nobody was injured in the incident.

BELGRADE Two persons were arrested after a shootout with police around 21:00 CET on Friday in downtown Belgrade. Nobody was injured in the incident. The police discovered certain amount of narcotics on the suspects, Tanjug has learnt. The police fired a warning shot in the air but the suspects did not stop the car so the officers shot a rear tire, forcing the driver to stop. Daily Blic has reported that the two men were followed by two police vehicles on suspicion that they were drug dealers. Tanjug has unofficially learnt that the suspects have prior police records.
