The incident happened in the ethnically mixed neighborhood of Bošnjačka Mahala, where Serbs, ethnic Albanians and Bosniaks (Muslims) reside.

Nobody was hurt when the house where Slobodan Mišić, an internally displaced person from Istok, south of the Ibar, lives. His wife and children were inside when the blasts shattered the windows and caused minor material damage.

The Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija issued a statement calling on the international missions to "urgently find and punish" the perpetrators, and added:

"Are bomb attacks on the homes of Serbs a way to congratulate the birthday of the so-called independent Kosovo?"

This incident, and another one earlier in the day, came as ethnic Albanians marked five years since their unilateral declaration of independence.

Kosovo police, KPS, KFOR and EULEX members were seen investigating the scene of the accident.

Earlier this month, two Serb children were injured in the same neighborhood when a hand grenade was thrown through their window.
