The drugs were hidden inside construction machines that were aboard a ship. According to the Japanese police, all of the suspects have denied the accusations. One of the suspects, Ryuji Kitamura, runs a company that imports construction machines and other products to Japan and it is believed that it was a cover for the drug trafficking.
