BELGRADE Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has announced the continuation of the investigation in the Agrobanka case and new arrests. 30 people will be behind bars after the new operation, daily Vecernje novosti writes. We have a full unity in the state leadership and I am certain that everybody who committed criminal acts will be held responsible,” Dacic said. Police have so far arrested eight persons, including former Agrobanka Board of Directors President Dusan Antonic and are currently searching for his son Milan and Slobodan Ratkovic. Milan Antonic called the police from Montenegro on Friday and said that he would report to the organized crime prosecutor in connection with the Agrobanka case. He claimed he was not on the run and that he was on a vacation and said that he would return to Serbia in order to respond to questions of investigative bodies. Earlier on Friday, criminal charges were filed against the eight suspects and they were taken to the Organized Crime Prosecution. All of them claimed they were not guilty during the questioning. Milan Antonic is one of the founders of Vienna-based Eso limb Gmbh company which founded Drina Timber company, while Ratkovic is a Headcommerce deputy director. Milan Antonic and Susan Sekulic, a son of Habit Pharm owner Lalo Sekulic, were granted numerous suspicious loans. The granting of disputable loans incurred damages worth several hundreds of millions of euros to the state. Former Agrobanka Board of Directors member Danilo Sukovic said on Thursday that everything that had come to the Board had been “clean” and that nothing indicated that there was corruption. Dacic stressed that the investigation into the Agrobanka case had been underway for several months and that it would continue.
