Serb suspected of killing KPS member released from custody

The District Court in Kosovska Mitrovica on Friday decided to release Slobodan Vucinic from custody, it has been reported. Vucinic is a Serb arrested under suspicion that he killed an ethnic Albanian member of the Kosovo police, KPS. Serb suspected of killing KPS member released from custody Vucinic's lawyer told reporters today that a mixed EULEX court council decided to, instead of keeping him in prison, order his client "to report to the police station in Zubin Potok twice a week". The lawyer added that the investigation into the case "would continue". Vucinic was arrested a month ago in the southern, ethnic Albanian part of the divided town of Kosovska Mitrovica, along with his father. Enver Zumberi was killed last summer when the authorities in Pristina sent their police units to the Serb north, in an attempt to take over two checkpoints on the administrative line between central Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija. International arrest warrants have been issued for several other Serbs from the area of Ibarski Kolasin. Tanjug

Vučinić's lawyer told reporters today that a mixed EULEX court council decided to, instead of keeping him in prison, order his client "to report to the police station in Zubin Potok twice a week".

The lawyer added that the investigation into the case "would continue".

Vučinić was arrested a month ago in the southern, ethnic Albanian part of the divided town of Kosovska Mitrovica, along with his father.
