Terror suspects in attack on police detained in Kosovo

A Serbian police (MUP) checkpoint located between Gnjilane and Bujanovac - Kosovo and central Serbia - was attacked with firearms on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day).
An EULEX statement said that three other suspects were "ordered to report to the police station and had their passports confiscated".
They were arrested two days ago by members of EULEX police and are charged with terrorism and participation in a terrorist group.
The statement also said that the investigation was led by "an EULEX prosecutor from the office of the Kosovo Special Prosecution", while the NATO mission, KFOR, and the Kosovo police, KPS, were assisting him.
A police officer was lightly injured when the police checkpoint near Dobrosin was attacked in the early hours of June 28.
A spokesman for the police administration in the town of Vranje said that another terrorist attack against the checkpoint located on the administrative line happened on May 17.
"Officer Branislav Marković from Bujanovac was lightly injured when a projectile scratched his back," spokesman Dragan Stamenković said of the Vidovdan attack.
He also revealed that one or more terrorists perpetrated both attacks from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
