Seven persons died after midnight on Monday in a traffic accident near the town of Alibunar, on the Pancevo-Alibunar road, northeast of Belgrade. The deadly crash happened at 01:45 CET, when an Opel Cadet car hit a truck trailer that had broken down on the road. Their identities are yet to be announced. B92 has unofficially learned that the victims were Roma. The police, meanwhile, said that they had the driver of the truck in custody. This brought the weekend death toll on Serbia's roads to 15: on Saturday and Sunday, a total of eight people lost their lives in four separate traffic accidents.
