Unrests continued last night in Novi Sad after a European Handball Championship match between Croatia and Hungary. Two cars with Croatian license plates were set on fire, Rijeka-based daily Novi list writes. Cars with Serbian license plates are also among the vehicles that were damaged. Around 5:00 CET on Thursday morning, four cars parked in Vigor Hotel parking lot in Novi Sad were set on fire. According to Novi list, the perpetrators jumped over the fence, poured gas on the cars and then set them on fire. The entire incident was recorded by the hotel security cameras. One of the cars with Rijeka license plates belongs to well-known handball official Vlada Lipovic. The second car is owned by former handball player Miro Kojcin. Hooligans first attacked Croat handball fans on Tuesday evening, after Croatia’s game with France. According to the latest information, the police have arrested 13 persons on suspicion of being involved in the attack, including Red Star fans and far-right group Obraz members.
