High Judicial Council member arrested on corruption charges

Serbian IM Ivica Dacic stated on Friday that four court officials from Kosovska Mitrovica and Belgrade had been arrested on suspicion of abuse of office. He said that Kosovska Mitrovica court Secretary Miroslav Bozovic and two other court officials, Blagoje Curovic and Dragan Gavrilovic were arrested on corruption charges. Jaksic's immunity from prosecution was revoked on Friday, and the Prosecution suggested that he should be placed in detention. The Organized Crime Prosecution filed a request for launching an investigation against Jaksic on Friday on suspicion that he had committed the criminal act of abuse of office by procuring RSD 20mn worth of unlawful benefit together with his associates while he held the position as the head of the Kosovska Mitrovica Municipal Court.
