Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic has confirmed that the investigation into the Special Operations Unit (JSO) mutiny will include Milorad Ulemek. He told B92 that Dusko Maricic and Zvezdan Jovanovic would also be subjects of the investigation. Former JSO members remanded in 48-hour custody The organized crime prosecutor has said he will file a request to conduct the investigation against them under suspicion of committing an armed mutiny. Radisavljevic said that three JSO members, who were arrested late Tuesday, would be kept in detention for 48 hours on reasonable suspicion of taking part in the JSO mutiny in November 2011. Former JSO assistant commander in charge of counterintelligence Veselin Lecic, Gendarmerie officer Mica Petrakovic and member of the Gendermerie Anti-Terrorist Unit Vladimir Potic were arrested on Tueday. Lecic’s lawyer Vladan Vukcevic told Tanjug after the hearing which lasted until 2:00 CET, that the former JSO members had been remanded in 48-hour custody because they could influence the witnesses, and added that they were charged with armed mutiny. Vukcevic confirmed that one more person was questioned, but could not give any details. The Organized Crime Prosecution believes that the JSO mutiny on November 8, 2001, when the unit went out onto Serbia's roads fully armed, was an introduction into the assassination of Serbia's Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic. According to the then explanations of the unit's commanders, the cause of the revolt was dissatisfaction over the arrest of Hague indictees the Banovic brothers and the Berets' demanded that a law on cooperation with The Hague be adopted as soon as possible. Nenad and Predrag Banovic, who lived in Serbia with falsified documents, were arrested on October 2001 in Obrenovac and transferred to the Scheveningen detention unit. The twins were charged with committing war crimes in the concentration camp Keraterm in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The one-week mutiny ended with an agreement with the government. JSO members
