The eighth anniversary of an Albanian terrorist attack, in which two Serb teens were murdered and four wounded in the village of Gorazdevac was marked Saturday. A memorial service for Ivan Jovovic (19) and Pantelija Dakic (13), who were killed in the attack, was served by Bishop Teodosije and priest Jugoslav Marijanovic. Gorazdevac attack victims commemorated On behalf of Serbia's Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, the memorial service was attended by Assistant Minister for Kosovo Sladjana Radovic, the ministry stated in a release. The victims' families and friends visited the graves, laid wreaths, lit candles and honoured their loved ones. On August 13, 2003 the Albanian extremists and separatists, hidden in the bushes, shot from the back at children and young adults roasting corn on the riverbank and bathing in the Bistrica River. Marko Bogicevic (12), Dragana Srbljak (13), Bogdan Bukumiric (14) and Djordje Ugrenovic ( 20) were seriously wounded. Representatives of the international community promised that they would turn every stone and find the individuals who committed the crime against the Serb children and teenagers, but the murderers are still at large. However, late in 2010, EULEX investigators stopped the investigation and it was only on February 9, 2011 that Slovenian Prosecutor Alenka Sagmeister Ranzinger informed the victims' families about the termination of proceedings. In a communique, she noted that all investigative actions had been exhausted and that suspects had not been identified. The notification was delivered to families thanks to Bukumiric, who was shot seven times, because he kept calling on EULEX to issue information about the results of investigation. In a statement for Tanjug, Bukumiric, who barely survived the attack and remained an invalid, pointed out that the investigation into the monstrous crime has not been conducted properly and that the Serbian government and the prosecution should request a new investigation. Serbian Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic has called on EULEX, UNMIK and KFOR to explain how many years they need to solve any of the crimes committed against Serbs and to say what is preventing them from doing so.
