The next status conference in the trial against Ratko Mladic has been scheduled for August 25, the Hague Tribunal announced on Tuesday. The last time Mladic appeared in the Hague courtroom was on July 4, when he refused once more to plead to the indictment, which is why judge Alfonso Ori entered into the court records that the defendant pleaded not guilty. Next Mladic status conference on August 25 In the release, the Hague recalls that Mladic was arrested in Serbia on May 26 and transferred to the Scheveningen detention facilities five days later, and that his appeared before the court first on June 3 and once more on July 4. The release also states that at the request of the office, the Hague granted extension of deadline for appointment of legal council in charge of Mladic's defense until August 1. Two points of the indictment charge Mladic with genocide committed against Muslims in Srebrenica and non-Serbs in eight Bosnian municipalities.
