A vehicle of the Kosovo police (KPS) was damaged in the town of Leposavic, northern Kosovo, early on Tuesday. A hand grenade planted under the car exploded, said reports. Device planted under KPS vehicle in north Nobody was injured in the incident but the blast damaged the vehicle and the house of a Serb in whose yard the car was parked. KPS spokesman Nusret Mehmeti told Tanjug that members of the local police unit and regional investigative unit for explosive devices examined the scene early this morning, after receiving an anonymous call about the explosion. The device used in the blast is a hand grenade, but we cannot specify its exact type at the moment, Mehmeti said and added that no one was injured in the incident, but that windows on the KPS vehicle were broken and wheels were also damaged in the blast. The KPS vehicle stood parked in the yard of the family home of a local Serb, an employee in the Vucitrn police school. The blast caused slight material damage to the house standing some 30 meters away from the blast site. The investigation into the incident was under way.
