Kosovo Police (KPS) arrested, interrogated and released two Albanians for involvement in the stoning of a bus carrying Serbs on Saturday. The displaced Serbs from Kosovo were on their way to visit the cemetery in the town of Djakovica on Saturday, one of the All Souls' Days according to the Orthodox calendar. Two K. Albanians arrested for stoning Serbian bus KPS regional Spokesman Zecir Kelmendi told Tanjug that the police arrested a 59-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both ethnic Albanians, who stoned the convoy taking Serbs for a visit to the local church and cemetery on Saturday. “The buses were hit by small rocks and nobody was injured in the incident, nor was any material damage caused,” Kelmendi said and added that the police had arrested two individuals whom the investigative judge decided should be released pending trial after questioning. “The case is being treated as an offence of disturbing public order and peace, “he added. Some 120 displaced citizens of Djakovica were supposed to visit the nearby Donji Petrovac cemetery, but the visit was called off due to security reasons.
