Trial of folk singer Svetlana Raznatovic and her brother-in-law Predrag Ocokoljic for violent behavior in 2007 will begin on July 19. “There is no possibility that the First Municipal Prosecution in Belgrade will strike a plea bargain,” Prosecutor Ljubivoje Djordjevic said. Folk singer faces court in another case Just a few days ago Raznatovic and her sister Lidija Ocokoljic reached a settlement with the prosecution, pleading guilty to misappropriating funds from FC Obilic player transfers. Raznatovic and her brother-in-law tried to take over Inge sports center and sell FC Mladi proleter and the land four years ago, it is said in the indictment. “You have no idea who’s behind me, what people and which institutions,” the singer allegedly told FC Mladi proleter Director Aleksandar Olarevic, while her brother-in-law hit him on June 18, 2007, daily Blic writes. The indictment was recently raised by the First Municipal Prosecution, accusing her of violent behavior. Raznatovic could get up to five years in prison if found guilty. “We are acting in accordance with the law and our authority. The draft indictment has nothing to do with recently signed deal, it has its own legal procedure,” Djordjevic stressed and added that the investigation had taken more than three years and that this was why the indictment was raised only recently. The new indictment against the folk singer was raised on April 20. Olarevic said that he and Raznatovic had come into conflict over the ownership of FC Mladi proleter and Inge sports center, which FC Obilic had been using for practices and junior league matches. He told the media at the time that Raznatovic was not paying for the use of the sports center and that she owed RSD 4mn. According to him, she came to the FC Mladi proleter premises in order to take over the club and insulted him, while Ocokoljic hit him, daily Danas writes. Svetlana Raznatovic (Tanjug)
