Carlsberg Serbia financial director in tax evasion

The Tax Administration has filed criminal charges against the financial director of the Carslberg Serbia brewery. The company's senior manager has been identified with his initials P.K., and is believed to have evaded paying taxes. The suspect also paid salaries and fees to the brewery's employees and other individuals not employed by the company in the amount of RSD 14mn, without paying taxes of RSD 3.4mn. The payments were made using approved benefits for employees. P.K. also submitted corportate tax returns entering false figures, decreasing the taxable base by RSD 361.8mn, thus avoiding the payment of taxes in the amount of RSD 36.1mn, said the Tax Administration.
