Humanitarian campaign bikers attacked

Four bikers were injured when rocks were thrown at them in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. The Kosovo police (KPS) confirmed that the attack occurred in southern Mitrovica, where only ethnic Albanians live. Humanitarian campaign bikers attacked Northern Kosovska Mitrovica police station commander Milija Milosevic said that four of the bikers were hurt and one was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. “There were two separate incidents that occurred in the southern part while they were leaving for Gazimestan. One of the men suffered an injury of the jaw and was taken to the Kosovska Mitrovica hospital,” Milosevic said. The President of the Harley Davidson Club of Serbia, Milic Radevic, confirmed for the Tanjug news agency that the four bikers were hurt, adding that the incident shows that “Kosovo is a territory where the security situation is not in order”. Over the last two days, more than 1,500 bikers visited Kosovska Mitrovica for the Fourth annual Bike Rock Mission, in which motorcycle enthusiasts from Serbia, France, Austria, Australia, Montenegro, Macedonia and the Republic of Srpska attended a humanitarian campaign to help orphans in northern Kosovo. They visited Gazimestan on Monday, where a celebration of the Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day) holiday was held. They left, heading towards the administrative line leading to central Serbia, at about 15:00 CET.
