Head of Vojislav Seselj's defense team Zoran Krasic says he expects the opposition SRS leader to be released in May. Alternatively, Krasic said, the defense will call its witnesses. Party expects Seselj acquittal in May "The prosecution's witnesses thus far have not contributed to it in any spectacular manner, rather they enabled the public to learn that there is no indictment against Seselj. For this reason we expect his acquittal," he told reporters during a news conference in Belgrade on Sunday. In case Seselj is not set free, the defense will call its witnesses, Krasic continued, but refused to elaborate on this point, saying only that "it's too early for the defense". He would also not name the potential defense witnesses. Krasic said that Seselj, who is conducting his own defense, is not receiving money for his expenses, and that he does not have access to the "technical funds", that were at Slobodan Milosevic's disposal during his trial. Seselj, indicted for war crimes, voluntarily turned himself in to the Hague Tribunal seven years ago.
