Hooligan group leader convicted of weapon possession

A Belgrade Court has convicted Red Star hooligan group leader Dražen Dragaš and sentenced him to two years in prison.

A Belgrade Court has convicted Red Star hooligan group leader Drazen Dragas and sentenced him to two years in prison. He was convicted for the illegal possession of a magnum 357 pistol. Hooligan group leader convicted of weapon possession The information was confirmed for Tanjug by High Court spokesperson Dusica Ristic, who added that Dragas, who is a member of the Red Star Football Club assembly, was also found not guilty of threatening a café owner with the same gun in September of last year. Dragas said that the gun was not his, adding that it belonged to a man who he had borrowed EUR 5,000 from, and who was making him hold on to the gun for him. A sentence of in between two and 12 years is prescribed for the crime of possessing a weapon illegally.

The information was confirmed for Tanjug by High Court spokesperson Dušica Ristić, who added that Dragaš, who is a member of the Red Star Football Club assembly, was also found not guilty of threatening a café owner with the same gun in September of last year.
