Kosovo police say that the excavation of a mass grave in the village of Dobrcane, in the municipality of Gnjilane, is complete. Kosovo Police Service (KPS) spokesman Arben Beka told Radio KiM that the remains of victims of various ages had been found, though no numbers were given. Based on earlier information, Kosovo police investigators and EULEX police, along with international anthropologists, arrived at the site of the mass grave on July 9, according to a statement from the KPS. The investigation was resumed on July 10 and on Monday, when the process of field control was completed. The victims found in the grave are believed to have died in the Kosovo conflicts of 1998-1999. The remains will be sent to the Forensics Institute in Pristina, while DNA analysis will be performed abroad.
