The War Crimes Prosecution is checking several past cases to see if there are grounds for the seizure of any illegally acquired property. Daily Danas writes that the prosecution is interested in seizing the assets of former Scorpions paramilitary unit commander Slobodan Medic and former Vukovar territorial defense commander Miroljub Vujovic. Paramilitaries’ assets to come under microscope Vujovic and his colleagues, according to Danas, own some 32 properties, a petrol station and a villa in Novi Sad. Vujovic was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in jail for war crimes committed at the Ovcara farm near Vukovar on November 20-21, 1991, when 200 Croat civilians were killed. Danas writes that Medic said in court that he owned a sheep and horse farm in Vojvodina and a home in Novi Sad. He said that all his property was registered in the name of members of his family. Medic was also sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of six Muslim civilians in Trnovo in Bosnia-Herzegovina in July 1995.

Vujović and his colleagues, according to Danas, own some 32 properties, a petrol station and a villa in Novi Sad.

Vujović was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in jail for war crimes committed at the Ovčara farm near Vukovar on November 20-21, 1991, when 200 Croat civilians were killed.

Danas writes that Medić said in court that he owned a sheep and horse farm in Vojvodina and a home in Novi Sad.

He said that all his property was registered in the name of members of his family.

Medić was also sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of six Muslim civilians in Trnovo in Bosnia-Herzegovina in July 1995.
