Presevo Municipal President Nader Sadiku expects the authorities to uncover those responsible for the Monday bombing in the town as soon as possible. At about 02:30 CET on Monday, an unknown attacker threw two hand grenades in the center of Presevo, on Marshal Tito Street. Sadiku told Beta that the situation today in Presevo was “peaceful, but tense.” According to him, no municipality or Albanian party had organized any celebrations to mark the anniversary of Kosovo’s unilateral independence declaration. Certainly we believe that it was a terrorist act, like any other explosions that have occurred in Presevo recently, and the authorities need to do more to find the culprits and get this into the public eye,” he said. Several shops fronts were smashed in the explosion, and one vehicle seriously damaged. “The street was not damaged, but you can see traces of where the bomb exploded. Citizens are upset, in particular because none of those responsible for any of the explosions that happened in the center two years ago have yet been caught,” said Sadiku.
