Former Hague Prosecution spokeswoman Florence Hartmann refused to enter a plea at her trial at the Hague Tribunal. The court took her refusal to enter a plea as a “not guilty” plea to both counts of her indictment. No plea from ex-Hague spokeswoman The Tribunal also approved Hartmann’s request to have her defense paid for by the court, because it was established that she did not have enough money to finance her own defense. Hartmann is accused of contempt of court because she released details regarding several cases considered top secret in the book she wrote about working as a spokeswoman to former Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte. The start date for her trial will be scheduled subsequently.
