Hague Cooperation Council head Rasim Ljajic says that there is political will to cooperate with the Hague Tribunal. He told a delegation of the Monitoring mission of the Committee of CoE Ministers, led by Jean Louis Laurens that political will exist to locate and extradite the remaining fugitives to the Hague, the Serbian government said in a statement in Belgrade on Tuesday. Search for Mladic to get "more comprehensive" Also today in Kragujevac, Ljajic told journalist in that without the Mladic extradition to the Hague Serbia’s EU path would be halted because Holland would not change its position. Ljajic said that all the details of the ongoing actions, that should lead to the arrest of the two remaining fugitives – Bosnian Serb Gen. Ratko Mladic, and Croatian Serb Goran Hadzic – would be presented to the Tribunal’s Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz at the next meeting, along with plans that are to ne realized in the coming days and weeks. "We want his report to be positive, and to unblock the European integration process as soon as possible. It is clear that the Dutch will never succumb to any type of marketing tricks,” Ljajic said. He announced that the actions of locating and arresting the remaining Hague fugitives would be conducted country-wide, that they would get "more comprehensive", and that "no one would be spared". Ljajic also said that yesterday’s raid in Valjevo, when Vidoje Vujic's factory and private home were searched for six hours, did not have Ratko Mladic himself as the target. MUP Zandarmerija (Gendarmerie) officers ended the raid by confiscating several cell phones and 13 photographs. Ljajic said the Action Team was pleased with the results, and also denied allegations that the location was used on Monday so that the Gendarmes could stage a tactical exercise. "We were not looking for Mladic, because we knew he was not there. We were looking for items, documents, materials, clues that could lead us to the remaining Hague fugitives,” he explained. Stating that the motive for yesterday's operation staged in Valjevo was to cut potential financial support for the two remaining Hague fugitives, he said that the public would not be made aware that Mladic’s arrest was under way, "just like it did not know about the ongoing arrest of Stojan Zupljanin and Radovan Karadzic". "Yesterday we have clearly demonstrated to everybody that the state is determined to fulfill its remaining obligations towards the Hague and that no one who participates in the hiding of the Hague fugitives will be safe from justice,” Ljajic said. He continued that the tribunal's representatives understood the goal of yesterday’s raid, just as they know those of all future actions aimed to fulfill the remaining obligations. "We are interested in seeing Mladic in the Hague, but in demonstrating that we’re actually doing something,“ said Ljajic. No exercise: Gendarmes in Valjevo on Monday (Tanjug)
