Bulgarians arrested for credit card fraud

Officers with the Belgrade MUP have arrested three Bulgarian nationals suspected of organizing a credit card swindle. Matey Mateyev Vladimirov and Ivan Chardakov Vassilev are suspected of committing several criminal acts involving fake credit cards, incurring damages to several Belgrade business banks in October and November. Bulgarians arrested for credit card fraud MUP said in a statement on Monday that the suspects possessed an undetermined number of credit cards – the so called “white plastic” – with pin codes. They used ATMs to withdraw the money from the banks' accounts. Officers arrested them at an ATM, and confiscated six forged credit cards and more than RSD 50,000 the Bulgarians had in their possession. The police discovered that the suspects stole a total of more than RSD 400,000. The pair have been brought before an on duty investigative judge in Belgrade, along with the criminal charges against them, the MUP statement said.
