The War Crimes Prosecution will file apply to launch an investigation against war crimes suspect Stojan Zupljanin’s accomplices. Zupljanin was arrested earlier this year in Pancevo and extradited to the Hague Tribunal. “Zupljanin accomplices to be prosecuted” War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic told B92 that the motion would be filed today, and the investigation would cover seven people, though he believes that 30 people could ultimately face prosecution. "The motion to launch the investigation against seven suspects that aided and abetted Zupljanin will be filed tomorrow. The investigation will also include the three locations where he was hiding. We have obtained information that there were 15 hideouts involved, meaning that 30 people might be held responsible for this,” he said. Vukcevic also commented on Albania’s decision to refuse to help Serbia in the investigation on organ harvesting of Serbs missing or kidnapped in Kosovo, stating that the decision was made under pressures from Kosovo lobbies and the Albanian authorities. The prosecutor said that he had information that Ramush Haradinaj had been in Tirana in September, and had asked Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha to conceal all evidence on this case. "I’d like to be precise at this point: I don’t think that this is the view of the Albanian Prosecution, but the position of the Albanian authorities. Those on the lower levels of the chain of command cannot be held responsible for this,” he said. Berisha’s spokesman Grid Roji said that the Serbian War Crimes Prosecution’s allegations that Berisha had ordered the destruction of documentation on missing Serbs from Kosovo were nothing but “lies and a product of sick fantasy.” However, Vukcevic says that he has clear information that Kosovo leaders had the support of the Albanian prime minister. According to the information, Berisha’s house, located four kilometers from the Kosovo border, was even used as one of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s command points. Vladimir Vukcevic (FoNet)
