Serbian police, MUP, have managed to prevent the murder of a man indentified as V.M. They also arrested two men who planned to carry out the killing, a statement said today. Police prevent gang hit Pistols and baseball bats – likely planned to be the murder weapons – were found on the suspects, identified as Zdravko N. of Novi Pazar and Dragan R. of Kraljevo. Another man, believed to have ordered the hit, Slavisa M., was detained. Both he and the victim are natives of Raska in southwestern Serbia. According to the police statement, officers prevented the murder as the assault was ongoing on Sept. 22. All the suspects have police rap sheets, for crimes that include drug trafficking, murder, and auto theft. Four more persons, including Zvonko V. of Kosovska Mitrovica, are at large and police continue to search for them in connection to the case. Beside the two pistols, handcuffs and a baseball bat found in the suspects' Audi 8 with Belgrade license plates, officers also recovered four rifles, three pistols and a large quantity of ammunition during the search of an apartment the criminal group used.
