Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac on Wednesday denied that Ratko Mladic has been located. He also said the Serbian Army, VS, is not helping hide the former military leader of the Bosnian Serbs, wanted by the Hague Tribunal on war crimes charges. Sutanovac: Army not sheltering Mladic "I am deeply convinced that the VS and the agencies are no longer a part of the problem, but of the solution. I have received no intelligence, either from domestic or foreign officials, that the army or the agencies are in any way protecting Hague indictees," Sutanovac told Radio Serbia International. The minister added that no one should doubt cooperation with the tribunal will be finalized, since the arrest of Radovan Karadzic demonstrated the government's resolve to meet its obligations. He said that his recent call on Mladic to surrender was of "human, rather than political nature". Sutanovac concluded that "surrender would be better than arrest", since "certain structures of the society would once again lead to destructive demonstrations with the goal of spilling blood in the streets of Belgrade".
