Six people from central Serbia have been turned over to Serbian police after crossing the Kosovo administrative line. They were turned over to Serbian Interior Ministry officials at the crossing point near Merdare, according to the Kosovo police. They were arrested near Podujevo, two kilometers from the administrative line on the Kosovo side, for “illegal crossing”. According to unofficial information, they crossed over in order to pick blueberries. Ruzica Marinkovic, Sasa Prvoslav, Biljana Marinkovic, Zoran Marinkovic, Ivana Marinkovic and Goran Novakovic were arrested in the village of Sitaric, and police impounded their car. After the arrest, the six men and women were held in custody in Pristina, and yesterday appeared before the Municipal Court in Podujevo.
