Belgrade has called for an investigation against Fatmir Limaj for crimes committed in Lipljan, Stimlje and Glogovac. The Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office said that it had asked for an investigation to be carried out against Limaj and 27 other members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) based on suspicion that they committed war crimes against 22 Serbs and ethnic Albanians in 1998 in the Kosovo municipalities of Lipljan, Stimlje and Glogovac. Calls for new probe against KLA commander They are suspected of illegally imprisoning 35 civilians, 22 of whom were killed. These crimes were not part of the indictment against Limaj and others at the Hague Tribunal. Three of 28 suspects—Azem Sulla, Shukri Bija and Ramiz Qeriqi—are accused of helping Limaj and others between 2001 and 2007 conceal these grave violations of international humanitarian during their trial at the Hague Tribunal.
